CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Great American Home Plans Website

I am officially making my grand attempt to become "The Apprentice" for Donald Trump. I would make a great "The Apprentice" because of all the years I have spent working as a self employed entrepreneur. I have always been driven to succeed and will continue to do so. If you want to see my journey as "The Apprentice" check out my website http://www.briangarrisontheapprentice.com.

I am currently the owner of http://www.briangarrisontheapprentice.com. which is a culmination of over twenty years of residential design. My company has several artists and draftsmen on staff completing any and all drafting needs 24 hours a day. I have over thousands of designs on the site with thousands more that I need to place on the website over the next few months (some 30,000 total designs).

I still currently own and operate Garrison & Associates a California based design firm which uses the same resources as greatamericanhomeplans.com. I have been involved in over 3,000 custom projects over the years. I have at my disposal upwards of 300 Architects, Engineers, Designers and Artists to achieve the goals of any project I take on.

I am also currently involved in a large scale development project. We are designing and building the Worlds Largest Indoor Amusement Park. We have hired ex Disney artists and writers to create a new form of family entertainment. We are raising capital (200 million dollars) as we speak to bring this project to life. I have been working on the intellectual properties issues along with marketing and venture capital issues. The website for that project is www.thealturnercompany.com

In 2001 I began the process of patenting 2 ideas I had. I have been to school and am working closely with the "Sawyer Center" and the "Small Business Development Center" to bring those patents, trademarks and copyrights to fruition. The Sawyer Center is branch of the employment development department and the small business development center and is the only place of its kind in the U.S. whose sole purpose is to help bring patents to fruition through partnering for free with the State of California. Those two patents are still moving forward through the process currently.

In 1993 I was involved in a large scale redevelopment project in several parts of China. I was designing apartment buildings and residential subdivisions in joint venture with the Chinese Government. While constructing these projects I was frustrated in the use of Oregon framing material being shipped overseas by the container full. I began developing metal products such as floor pans, metal siding, and metal roofing for a development company in China. I helped design the factory for the equipment as well as designed the apartment buildings we went into production with. While involved with the Chinese Government I was approached by them to design a 3 story disco, restaurant and bar for the middle of a river there. The rendering is now a decoration on the wall of the head of commerce for that region there (see that rendering in the photo section of this site).

In 1982 at seventeen I was drawing shop drawings for commercial fixtures for a contractor here in town. As his company grew I was given more complicated jobs. Included in those jobs I was to design such interiors as "The El Dorado Inn" in Sonoma which was part of General Vallejo's original property. I also designed "Baci's" in Mill Valley an Upscale Italian Restaurant. I also at one point had designed every tenant improvement in Tam Junction at Mill Valley (the same place as Baci's). I had done work at the "Cannery" San Francisco, "Ghirardelli Square" San Francisco, the "White Mountain Creamery" Chain California and other high end restaurants and bars through out California.
